Chromosome 23 is a commissioned work of art for the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Made from painted steel, the sculpture is an abstracted depiction of the 23rd . Chromosome in XX and XY, and is meant as a symbol of humanity at its most elemental level.
