Mining Minds

2010 University of El Paso - El Paso, TX

Mining Minds was created as an iconic work of art for the University of Texas at El Paso. An inspirational message on education that was written by the University’s president has been translated into binary code, then perforated through the twin tips of the pick axe. Lit from within at night, the sculpture serves to connect the institutions origins as a mining school with present day technology.
